Illusion

This collection is inspired by the chessboard pattern. The chessboard is a kind of checkerboard used in the classic board game chess in which consists of 64 squares and 32 pieces. The squares are organized in two alternating colors. I also was inspired by the fascinating jellyfish tentacles. Jellyfishes are such beautiful sea creatures that have a jellylike appearance. And their tentacles are strongly powerful, their tentacles are their way of defense of mechanism against their predators.

I was inspired by several artists such as David Hockney, Benny Andrews and Andreas Gusky. They played with perspective into their artwork and I took that idea and incorporated into my fabric manipulations.
